Pumpkin Spice Hot Cocoa & Candy Corn Crunch

Two of my new favorite fall sweet treats are pumpkin spice hot cocoa and candy corn crunch. Last week I was craving something festive to sip on while watching New Girl's Halloween special.. so I put a little twist on hot chocolate and made pumpkin spice hot cocoa. It's my new addiction and so easy to make!

PUMPKIN SPICE HOT COCOA
1 cup of boiled water or milk
1 packet of diet or regular Swiss Miss Hot Chocolate
A few teaspoons of Pumpkin Spice Coffee Mate Creamer

Just make your hot chocolate with water/milk and pour in some pumpkin spice cream. You can also dollop on some fluff or whipped cream and garnish it with some flakes of chocolate or powdered cinnamon to make it look prettier... it tastes like a cup of pumpkin heaven.

I know.. it's an owl creamer from Marshall's.. but I use it as a mug because it's just too cute NOT to drink out of.

My second addiction. Candy Corn Crunch. My bff had a Halloween party this past weekend and I wanted to get a little creative and make a dessert that incorporated fun Halloween colors, so candy corn crunch was my dessert of choice and soo fun to make. Forget the "Don't play with your food rule",  and get your hands on some Halloween Oreos, Pretzels, Candy Corn, Hershey bars, and start crushing them....just make a MESS! It's so fun.. and definitely therapeutic if you are having a bad day... so be prepared to get orange Oreo filling and cookie crumbs on your hands and get messy!

CANDY CORN CRUNCH
17 Halloween Oreo's (the one's with the orange filling)
25 Pretzel Thins
1/2 - 3/4 cup of candy corn (you can use more or less if desired)
1 Hershey Bar
2 bags of white chocolate morsels
Halloween decorating Sprinkles

Crush up Oreo's, pretzels, Hershey bar, and throw in pieces of candy corn onto a cookie sheet lined with wax paper/tin foil. Melt the white chocolate in the microwave until fully melted and stir every 20 seconds to prevent burning. Pour the white chocolate over the crushed Oreo's, pretzels, etc. Evenly distribute the white chocolate mixture over the cookie crumble mix with a spatula (I used a spoon, because I was too lazy to look for a spatula). Sprinkle on some black and orange Halloween sprinkles, candy corn, and you're DONE! Throw it in the freezer until it hardens and break apart into pieces. For presentation, I placed the Candy Corn Cookie Crunch into a little Halloween bucket I found at the Christmas Tree Shop :) I can't wait to make the Christmas version... with RED Oreos that I definitely have already bought. Stay tuned for Candy Cane Crunch in a few weeks!
